The device consists of a 20 Fr Foley Silicone Catheter equipped with an injection needle drug delivery system that exits the catheter at the prostate level at an angle of approximately 30┬░.  The Schelin Catheter contains a drainage outlet and is anchored to the bladder neck by a balloon. The technique is very easy to learn and a convenient way of introducing a drug into and around the prostate. To facilitate the injections the catheter has clearly visible markings indicating how far into the tissue the needle has been inserted.
